My experiences of learning English

I began to learn English in Middle School. At first, learning English was frustrating. Because I always spoke English sentences with some Chinese words. But later I believed learning English would be one of my most rewarding experiences. My teacher was so strict with us that I made every effort to finish my work. Soon I made great progress. My English teacher encouraged us to read more, listen more and speak more. Not only did I gained self-confidence from his words but also I become positive in getting more English knowledge.

Writing English diaries was always an easy way to learn English grammar well. My former English teacher asked us to write daily diary. At first I was embarrassed of making mistakes. But soon it became one of my favorite hobbies. And I benefited a lot from the effort.

I think online learning is only a medium. You can download information from the Internet. But compared with original exercises, online learning is far from expectation. I suggest that we download mp3 English texts to improve our listening ability.

I haven’t communicated with a foreigner until I entered college. I think talking with a person from an English speaking country will be helpful for our oral English.
